Just when I think they have hit the all time high water mark, another one finishes a grand more than the previous. I know a guy with one, it is certainly a beast. Those hoops are really something too.

There was an original first production run Mastercraft bell brass that had the petina 5 mm(yes the first ones had 5MM shells) a couple of years ago, that went for 7500.The drum was never relisted,and feed back was left so I guess that was actually the actual amount paid.

Does anybody out there remember the average price these snare drums were going for back in the 1980's? I remember seeing one of these at Quigley Music in Kansas City back in 1985.Can't recall the price they had on it back then but since I was a kid a snare over $200 was out of my league.

I had a chance to buy a used one for $400 in 1984. Lot of bread for a 14 yr old. However, if I'd robbed a bank, I'd be out by now... Excited

I saw that one... and couldn't believe the final price!

There is another one up on ebay and it is sitting at 3k with about three days to go-it will be interesting to watch that one...
