The biggest kit on the block Last viewed: 4 hours ago

If you are looking to have the largest kit not just on your block but on ANY block then this is the kit for you.

Okay, what I have for sale is a one owner custom ordered Ludwig drum set that makes a standard Bonham set up look small. This is being sold as a four pirce kit without hardware or snare but what is included are the following, all in 3 ply. 12"x15" rack tom, 18"x18" floor tom, 18"x20" floor tom and a 14"x28" bass drum. All drums are standard maple, poplar, mahogany except for the 18"x20" floor tom which appears to be mahogany, poplar, mahogany. There is also a bass drum mounted cymbal arm that is in included and is the only hardware included.

There is some slight rashing on the rack tom and a small spot on the bass drum which is pictured, this is from where they rubbed against each other over time.

Now, due to the sizes of these drums they have to be pick up only. The only exception will be for someone living here in the Northeast, I am willing to deliver personally but need to at the very least cover all travel expenses.

If you are looking to have the largest kit not just on your block but on ANY block then this is the kit for you.

$2500.00

For reference, this is a 25.5" ride cyba in this picture.

THUNDER!

What I find interesting is mufflers for top and bottom heads of all the drums... Very rare for this reason I suspect. Was that factory, or added later? As far as I remember only Gretsch did this 'stock'...

Red Ripple '70's Yamaha D-20 20b-12-14f

Snares:

Cool kit....I know it's a custom kit, but is that bass drum original Ludwig, factory issued? I ask because I thought that a 26' was the largest that they ever had made.....

I actually have a monster 1978 Vistalite kit that has mufflers on the top and bottom on all the floor toms and rack toms......didn't even know that this existed until I bought the kit....:Snow Flake:

awesome big kit! would be a lot of fun to play.

the dual mufflers could be special ordered on the ludwigs even at least back to the 60's. don't see too many of them though.

Hi, first post here. I actually own a very similar kit. It has 15x14 rack tom, 18x18 and 20x18 floors and 24x16 bass. I don't know much about other it's also a mahogany and I've been told it's probably a late 70's rocker. These are tons of fun!!

The drums are all sizes that were offered by Ludwig in 1973 but this configuration was not pictured in any catalogs. The kit was a custom order but everything on the drums is factory installed and has not been altered in any way. This is a one owner kit so I have it on good authority that nothing was added after the purchase. Yes, Ludwig did make and offer a 28" bass drum at that time but were available as custom options only.
