Hi, my name is Julia my dad and I had put a few posts out here and I started to like it! It was very helpful to a 12 year old drummer to buy and sell drums. I have been playing the drums since I was 6 I fell in love with them and started collecting them. I play in my middle school band and when I am home I drum on everything from the countertop and my legs to vintage ludwig Vistalites. I hope to learn more about vintage drums on this site! :)

Hi Julia. Welcome to VDF. Great place to hang out and learn about drums, drummers and everything drum related. Keep playing and practice every chance you get. Of course after the homework is finished. :) Very cool Ludwigs and the Slingerland snares you have are top shelf. Nice to have you and your Dad here. Enjoy!

Glenn.

Your dad is a cool guy. Has a sweet B/O badge set of vintage Luddy Vistalites for you to play on. My daughters are 9 and 7 and I wish upon wish they someday take up drumming. They used to fool around on them, but maybe just not that into it. There's still time.

Enjoy playing and learning the most fun instrument known.

Julia, Dad - Welcome to VDF!

Lots of old-geezer drummers here. Which means.... lots of -experienced- drummer brains to pick! Always feel free to ask questions, even if you think they're dumb ones! Sometimes, those turn out to be the best questions!

I will say this to you as motivation for you to keep playing... I'm 64 years old, been playing for 49 of those years. Playing drums has always been a great source of fun, (pure joy) satisfaction and personal fulfillment for me. Playing in bands since I was 12 has always been a terrific way to meet new people and make life-long friends who share my passion/obsession for music. I've gotten to do things and go places that probably never would have happened if not for my love of drums/drumming/music. Music has played a wonderful and important role in my life. I hope it does in yours too.

Nice to meet you both. We are all, (VDF'ers) here at your disposal.

John

Too many great drums to list here!
