so I checked the FAQ's first......not helpful

and I SEARCHED for "how to empty your PM box" and got more menus, but nothing to eat

didn't see a delete button either

Q:How many drummers does it take to empty a PM box?

NOTE: bonus points for keeping it clean!

Thanks all,

Hi Glen, when you go to your pm box, at the right of each message is a lit'l box that you can click and it will put a check mark in the box. check each message you want to delete then scroll to bottom of messages, at the right it will say sellected messages click on the down arrow and it will give you choices of what you want to do with the messages you checked. click on the delete choice and that will show in the box then click the GO box beside that. you can do this for both your inbox and sent box.

hope this helps

ps i don't concider myself a drummer so i'm not sure if this counts, lol.

Go to Private Messages. At the top of the page is a link that says: Empty Folder. Click on it, then click 'Yes' when it asks you if you're sure you want to empty the in-box. Do the same for your Sent Items folder.

If you delete an incoming by mistake and you had replied to it, you can go to sent messages and read the deleted in ones in your reply(s).

On the topic of PM boxes, I think the admin here give quite a generous allotment of space given the purpose of PM's. Anything requiring larger exchanges of messages (sales and purchases) should be handled through direct emails. We should all try to keep our PM inboxes clean out of courtesy to those trying to send messages. There's nothing more frustrating than inquiring about an item for sale only to find the seller can't accept any more PM's.

Thanks again to the administrators for providing great service.
