Just Bought This Supra...Did I Do Good?

Loading...

Went out on a limb tonight and bought this Supra sight unseen for $130 shipped to my door. Comes with a Peace or Pearl stand but I forget which (don't really care about the stand but the seller insisted). Anyways, all I had to go on was the four pictures below and a couple minute phone convo with the seller. Originally he was selling it with the drum set as pictured but he agreed to sell it separately. Anyways, it's 1972, has the muffler, black label throw-off and some pitting on the shell and surface rust on the hoops. Judging by the pics I'm thinking it will clean-up decently. I hope my rationale is with me on this as I’m thinking I didn't pay much more for this Supra than I would have for a nice Acro of the same era. Would you say I did alright?

it's a great deal. Seem to be a minimum $200 drum on ebay. Well done

Snare should clean up fine..

What about the 2 old looking cymbals in the right hand side of the pic?..Could be A's......

What is the asking price on that canister throne? LoLoLoLoLoLoLoLo

I think 130 shipped, for a complete Supra, is a good price.

I don't know how you could consider it a good deal without getting the 5 gallon throne and the strobe light.

Awesome pick up ... ya did good ... not so sure it'll all buff out but it'll sing if you coax it. I agree ... $200 all over e-flay.

Also agree ... what about those tasty looking cymbals?

Oh yeah, "Right" as the rain. Can't beat that price, but the drum..........that, you can beat.

Nicely done.

If you are happy with the drum then you did good. That's all that matters.
