Just kinda wondering. Do you knowledgable guys on here get tired of answering the same old (sometimes stupid) questions from us newbies? Everyone who has helped me and answered my questions has been more than nice. But it has to get old answering the same old, same old questions. I guess kind of a pointless topic, just kinda came to me after a guy had to explain an answer to me twice. Thanks to everyone who helps us new guys. You guys really know your stuff.

YES! Now get off my lawn!
You kids have it easy. When I was growing up, we didn't have no internet to look things up. If we wanted to learn something, we had to just do it. Tear into the drum. And then go play the gig. That's right, we played the gig with our drums. Not to mention we had to carry the drums, without cases, uphill both ways in the rain and snow with the rest of the band on our back because nobody could afford a car. And we were thankful!

Alright, with that off my chest I can honestly say I don't answer many questions because most of these drums are older than me... but it was fun to get type... damn kids

LoLoLoLo
Honestly, sometimes, yes! This is why there is a search function and sticky threads.....but even with that, the same old questions do occur quite often around here. Most of the time I don't mind answering them still, but then there is that proverbial "bad day" every once in a while...... :p

You lucky bastard! When I was a kid, if I even asked a question, my drum teacher would beat me with parade sticks. I not only had to lug my drums around everywhere, but I also had to carry the bass players amp and a huge, heavy box containing the lead singers make-up! They never paid me because I was only a drummer. They told me they could get a monkey to do my job! After long, hard gigs, I'd have to go home to my cardboard box and eat cat food for dinner seven days a week and I was thankful... you had it sweet!
John
PS - Damn if they weren't right about the monkey! They got an old chimp to sub for me once, and he really was a better drummer than me! Better looking too! Falling Do
Actually, the answers from the less knowledgeable guys bother me more....DOH
Would you repeat the question?
Answering the same question differently each time it's asked keeps me from getting bored.
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
The only stupid question is the unasked question......
Like it says up top, "Ask a question, get an answer". Doesn't say how many times you can ask. I think only a few may get annoyed, but I don't think the good guys mind. Just ask anyone who has kids about questions. As for me, the more I read, the better things get retained.
By the way, how can I tell if my Supra is brass?
