What model Camco snare is this? Last viewed: 3 hours ago

This is the snare I got with the kit I posted earlier. Just wondering if this is an Aristocrat? How rare are round lugs on snare compared to the others? Any inside info is much appreciated!!

This is the "Before" pic as I intend to disassemble it all the way down to shell and parts and give it a proper restoration.

Congratulations on your kit! Great acquisition! That's an Aristocrat snare drum. Very valuable and awesome sounding. Im attaching some info from Camco's 1966 catalog for you to check.

hi bbk, this thread answers my questions i asked in your other thread. your kit is the same kit i have but mine is a different color. i am really curious what the strainer looks like on your snare and how it is mounted to the drum. and a lit'l hint on cleaning...a toothbrush and generic toothpaste does an awesome job on the hardware, shines them up nicely.

Thanks, I am well versed in restorations as I have done many before. I actually find chrome polish and foil to work very well.

None taken, just wanted to let you know this isn't my first rodeo, just my first one on a Camco. Would you like pictures of the strainer only or the inside of the drum as well? I will take some pics as I dismantle it if you'd like.
