1959 Ludwig with transition badges! Last viewed: 4 hours ago

I absolutely love this set. i bought it from my college professor and used it in my senior recital for a Joe Morello solo. Since then it has been in its cases because I am getting married and moving to an apartment. So, I am thinking of selling the bass drum (and pedal), toms (with mount), and hi hat stand. There is some minor cosmetic blemishes like some paint off of the outside bass drum rims but there are no big dents, scratches, wrap peel, or structural damage at all. All the heads are in essentially brand new. I put them on about 2 weeks before my recital so they had a little time to settle and they haven't been played on since. Make me an offer: randall.foat@gmail.com

What cymbal is that with the rivets? Would you consider selling it? Would have loved to have heard that morello solo!

That is a 70's era Zildjian. I appreciate the offer, but that is one of my personal favorites :) The solo went very well. My college professor was actually one of Morello's students. He worked for Ludwig in product development in the late 50's early 60's and this set was built just for him. That is why the snare is factory black over brass which was not an option for the public. A number of people have asked what color the set is, and the entire set is black. The set does come with drum cases, and a wheeled aux case. The snare and stand are not included. Thank you for your question!
