Gotta be more SBP kits/drums out there! Post them up!

Those SBP clubbies are sweet, Jeff. You on the look-out for a matching 14" floor? Can't be an easy drum to find! If you find a matching 16" snag it! It'll be easier to find than a 14". You could put legs, a set of bottom lugs and a hoop on something like this, and at least have a full kit to play on:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ludwig-sky-blue-pearl-super-classic-16-tom-Vintage-1970s-drum-shell-nice-/230894592421?pt=Vintgae_Drums_Percussion&hash=item35c263e1a5

The seam is an easy fix. The wrap is in nice shape though. Granitone over 3-ply maple with re-rings, good sounding drum... I would replace the existing clip-mount with a cymbal mount holder! This drum will go cheap too!

Too many great drums to list here!

agreed. ocassionally, you can run into some 12x15 tenor toms or marching snares as well. they make great floor toms. the early club dates used this size in fact. ive got a pre serial 12x15 sky blue pearl marching snare myself with the center lug design. neat drums...

Mike - The reason I suggested it to Jeff was because of the re-rings! That granitone interior drum must have been made when they were switching over from the 3-ply maple shells to the 6-plies with no re-rings. Both good shells, but for the sound, I'd prefer the 3-ply w/rings. Wouldn't take a whole lot to put it right. It'll go cheap too, watch.

TommyP - I meant to ask you... how do you consider me posting photos of the tatoos on naked Japanese gangsters/wise-guys, as being "off-topic" in a drum forum? Explain it to me! Sumo Dude

Well John... I figured if the membership could deal with the absolutely hideous pictoral content in post #8.. ( NOT the SBP Ludwigs of course, they're BEAUTIFUL! ) .. I could let the pic of the tattooed naked Japanense gangsters slide. Sorry, must be the Sake talkin'! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

John/Mike, I saw that drum on ebay probably the same time you were responding to this thread. At first glance I thought no, but I will have to think about what you said. The actuall 14" ft is gonna be too expensive if I ever do come accross one.

Jeff - it's got a $50. bid on it with 9 hours left in the auction. Won't take much to put it right. You could end up with a nice SBP 16" to complete the kit.

TommyP - Hey man, at least I pre-warned everybody about my mug! lol
