Who has the smallest kit? (square ft)

Mine BASICALLY fits on a 3'x5' rug. Rules are, not including throne and minor overlaps ok. :)

The kit looks great, Stephen!

Now we gotta get you some 'real' cymbals to go with those great drums!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Don't know if this counts or not. Okay, it's not playable, but I did make it myself. Took this picture years ago - plasticine Ringo has not stood up, but still have the kit. Just for size reference, I used a small tin can for kick drum. less than 2.5" diameter, and floor tom was made from a segment of paper towel roll. The circular riser platform is about 10" in diameter if I recall.

Thats cool! you win.

Moon, I have a Pearl Modern jazz kit that would be about the same as yours, I think. 20,12,14?

And, I like the Ludwig cymbal. How doe's it sound?

As I was reading the thread, I didn't think anything could beat the suitcase rig (so cool), but mini-ringo wins I guess.

Yes, it's a 20,12,14 Ludwig, same size as yours. I tried to find out more about 70s Ludwig "tesco" cymbals. From what I can tell, I believe they eventually became Sabian, but Tesco was an umbrella company that just bought cymbals from makes all over Italy and put various brands on them. So your quality could be anything from hand made to machine made. Personally, I think this cymbal is UNREAL acoustically. I am not knowledgable enough to say if it has hand hammered etc, but it doesn't have a perfect pattern to it, there are some nuances.

That is SUPER COOL! I wanna ask "How did you do that!?" But, I know the answer would be a long one, so I'll save it.

Way cool!

O, that is super fantastically, amazingly well done, and cool! (for once, an exclamation point that has meaning.) I would highly suggest you produce those & sell them as art. With all the Beatles hipsters out there ... please.

Someone had a miniature of a Buddy Rich 70s Slingerland kit (with stands pedals and canister throne!!!) on feeBay recently that was awesome. Was that your handiwork, DaddyNowhere?
