By the way, they look nice on WMP too! I don't see why they wouldn't look good on any kit...once you get past the fact that the color is similar to the inside of a dirty diaper. ;)

wow
stellar kit !!!!
and yeah I love the look of the heads......the logo on the heads just screams 1950s and 60s
love it
Hi...I have a 60's Round Badge 22/13/16 with Aquarian American Vintage heads on the batters of the toms and Ambassadors on the bottom. The Aquarians were way easier to seat. I've just never gotten around to replacing the resos but when I do, they will be Aquarians. By the way, they sound amazing. Good luck with yours.

There you have it! A thumbs up from a fellow RB owner is a good sign you'll be happy you ordered them. And I can vouch that they tune easily. In 10 years, I've had one set of Aquarian heads that didn't tune easily. Roy Burns sent me a new set of heads. Aquarian is a great company and a great product.

I have never been an Aquarian user....just never liked them
always been an Evans / Remo guy
but when I heard these on a friends kit then again on the Daniel Glass DVD I could not help but feel the need to have them on my kit
I'll take a better pic soon....here is one I happened to have on the old desktop
20/12/14 / 5.5x14 micro strainer champagne
all original stands and pedal

OOH!!! Very nice! I've been aching for a champagne kit for a while now.
I haven't bought anything but Aquarian in the last 10 years. I don't have anything against Remo, and very little against Evans. I was turned on to Aquarian by a friend/mentor that had been playing Remo for 20+ years (I had been playing seriously for only about 2.5 years at the time). Anyway, he said, "I put a set of Aquarians on my DWs and, Lynn, they're the best thing since sliced bread." So, naturally, I had to try them. Like I said before, I've been disappointed only once in 10 years and Mr. Burns was quick to fix the problem.

I almost forgot! Have your local sign shop help you put your Gretsch sticker on your new head. I use my local sign shop because they always do me right. Their prices may be higher, but the service is worth it.
To my point, I considered buying my sticker off feeBay ($10) because the sign shop wanted $18. But, I went with them anyway. The sticker was in the wrong place when I went to pick the head up. So, they said, "Don't worry. We'll fix it. Show us where you want it." So, I helped them get it in the right spot, but making it stick to the textured coating was nowhere near easy. They had to use a burnishing brush to push the sticker down into the cavities created by the coating. I tried working on it while the lady helped another customer and I got nowhere fast. Pieces of the letters kept pulling up as I tried to peel off the paper. I was on my lunch break, so I had to leave it with her and pick it up after work. She said she worked on it for another 20 minutes after I left...and she gave me an extra sticker for a spare.
The Gretsch logo is pretty intricate as far as a sticker goes. So, you may want to "seek professional help." ;)

I have them on both sides of two of my kits, an early 50s set of radio kings and an early 50s Leedy and Ludwig and I love them, they are warm and slightly dark, they do remind me of calf heads, they last well too, no flaking, I don't think you'll regret your decision.
