Not trying to offend, really I'd be interested in selling the LA camco piece (red 3 piece, mostly all there) I have too, after telling you all what crap I think they are :)

Sizes? Pics?

Never play it the same way once.

...then Tama made the shells in japan if i recall right are beech shells with a maple ply on the outer shell....Mikey

Actually they were 100% Birch. The only time TAMA used maple was for their Superstar Mastercraft Artwood snare.FYI

These are 100% Maple It is easy to see by looking at them inside and out.

Sorry Mikey,

You seem pretty offended, sorry about that. The shells have the made in USA badges and serials, and yes I've read the forums full of misinformation and conjecture, the drums speak for themselves. All you have to do is play these later drums to know the difference, and I have sets from multiple generations of camcos, so I don't just read forums, I play the drums.

If you do your research you'll see that the later shells like these ones didn't need the re-rings, are all maple, and didn't go out of round like the earlier ones. These drums have never been refinished and are beautiful to look at and sound better than anything else I've played, although some of the later DW's will sound like this with age if they are played regularly, I believe.

Again, I am sorry if I offended you if you are personally invested in the reputation of a specific era of drums, I am talking about build quality, not collectabillity. My old gretch kit is much more collectable than some, but can't even compare in sound quality to these. I don't expect to sell these, to be honest, I love them so much, but I thought I would share the craigslist ad with the community. I have had some offers locally already, but I cannot part with these drums for $2000, I'll likely never see or play another set.
