JEFF!

Okay, I'm too old to do a happy dance, and I just got up. But I do have a seven year old granddaughter that will do the happy dance at the mere mention. I'll be seeing her over the weekend so you can consider the happy dance, danced.

Now, I did just do a silent arm pump for you... silent(?) you query? Well, yes silent... the wife is still sleeping, and I value my... well, you get my drift. However along with the arm pump I did feed the dogs, and they are smiling only for you!

GREAT FIND BUDDY! CONGRATS!

And welcome to the Ludwig Life! It's kind of like 'Hotel California'... heh heh heh

Hey, I just missed on a similar score this past weekend.

A CL add about 120 miles away (but I have family there) that had a "Late 1990s Ludwig Set" for $180 that the owner said "I just need the money and to get these out of here." The pictures were terrible, but even with the pics I thought I could see a B/O badge...

Well anyway, I missed them as a local guy I know beat me to them. And boy was he happy! 1970s B/O badge Ludwig set (22/16/13/12) in black cortex with a 70s Rogers Dynasonic SD, Sabian cymbals and all the stands, hardware, throne, etc.

This just goes to show you this kind of stuff IS STILL OUT THERE!!

So, happy hunting eveyone!

Bill, I will try and get your shells shipped over the weekend. No hurry on mine, Im gonna slide the Slingys over for a few days and get these Luddys cleaned up. I just cant wait to set them up. Plus now that I have decided to wrap the Slingys, I will need to save up for the wrap material since I bought the Ludwigs. Wish I would have gotten mine for 150 but still did very good I think. And yes happy hunting, these great drum deals do exist. Have a nice weekend!

Hey, no need to hurry on those either. I'll use them in PSA veneered entry level sets, and those keep getting pushed ****her down the list anyway. So, don't knock yourself out.

Check out the profanity filter on my last post! It can't tell that I'm talking "distance" and not "passing gas!"

Here is a picture of the date stamps. One from the ft and one from the 13. Is it normal for them to be so faint? They are so hard to read, looks like 1492 but we a ll know thats not right. It almost as if someone painted the inside but there is no paint on the screws and where the rings meet the shell the paint looks old and has cracked at the joint like it doe'sJeff C

Hate to break the news..but..someone DID paint them..that's why the date stamp is so faint...

It's African Mahogony under that paint..

They must have taken all the parts off first...

I found a 1970's 16 by 18 Premier FT the other day,and that was painted black over the African M.

Bummmer......
