Grantro - In the first post, third picture (the one with three rows of four keys each,) the first key in the second row is a Ludwig with that clip that opens up. I have one of those and never knew what that flat metal clip is for. Is it meant to be used like a screw-driver? What's the value on that one. It's one of my favorite keys. I use it all the time.

Purdie,
That particular key is the Ludwig P40 model which is still available today for around $15-$20 or so...Yes, it is meant to be used as a screwdriver...While gigging, having a screwdriver on hand is sometimes a savior, so Ludwig (and other companies) decided to manufacture a key with one built right in it...Great idea!!
Or, you could use it like a shiv...Depends on the type of establishment you`re playing...I think these type of stories were already covered in another thread!! LOL!!

That makes sense! I've had several super-sensitives come through here and it probably came to me with one of those purchases.
