TMTM,

It`s not too late to contact the seller and explain. I see no reason you shouldn`t be able to talk him back up to eleven hundred.

It`s a drum,.....Hit It !!

Well maybe dissapointed is to strong but when I had taken apart the floor tom it looked to me like the drums were becoming suspect because the serial numbers(465167) should be a 1964 built tom and the date stamp was 1967. It would be a stretch for this drum to be stashed in the back of the line for that long.

The wrap doesn't look like it goes very far under the plys overlap like my 1968s, just saying it looks different thats all.

The rack tom has a serial number of 54986 and the fade is what I would expect for that age drum under normal conditions. Learned that from you'al.

I feel more assured that this kit is original so thanks for all the comments. I am going to start on the other pieces of this kit so we all can really tell what the kit is all about. I,ll try to keep the picturs coming.

I wish I could meet the seller also oddball, maybe I could have talked them down some. Ha Tom

Your are one lucky guy I would go and play the lottery with that kind of luck! That is one nice find. I am always looking for those kind of deals and they don't come around very often. Enjoy those beauty's.

Dude, you got a 3 piece keystone 3ply Ludwig for $50... Even if it would be a rewrap, it would still be the deal of a lifetime!

Pretty sure the amount of beer we had last night cost more then your kit did..

Clean them up, head them, play them and love them.

Ludwiguniversal, thats whats so weird for me, in all my years I,ve never ran across a deal like this. They were at a Church community type garage sale in my own city. A friend called me about them, sent an e-mail and I said buy them thinking the parts alone would be worth the $50.00 dollars and when he dropped them off at my house wednesday I was shocked to say the least. Thats why I,am so carefull as I take them apart. I am still in shock I guess, looking for anything that is suspicious about them.
