It doesn't seem like it would be hard to either confirm or deny this one-Looks to be a nice player anyway.

I was looking at the 'custom' part of it haha. Quite a job on the reso hoop and those really cool screws in the "custom" nameplate.....

This might be worth buying just as a conversation piece and put it on display along with the seller's info and photos.

I saw this yesterday. I like the statement "It was kept in a weatherproof environment.". Was this environment the rain forest? All auctions by this seller have this statement in the description. Cut and Paste.

It'll be interesting to see the final bid.

I was thinking of bidding on it as a 'novelty'.....but I don't want to spend more than $100..............it's already at $103 and I think it's being bid on for the parts at that.

RE: nameplate screws are suitable for mounting a latch on a barn door. I'm just mystified trying to figure out why the builder wasn't able to apply his skills with a cutting torch!

Seriously, who knows how many "customizers" have put their hands on this drum over the years. Regarding the plate, it could've originally been mounted on a true custom drum. It says made by Jeff Ocheltree and there's a guy with that name with some you tube stuff demonstrating his tuning methods for John Bonham when he was his tech. Same Guy?

Believe it or else!

Yep, the same cat and dollars to doughnuts he had absolutely nothing to do with the drum.

His stuff is top notch and mostly extremely high end.

I was thinking the same thing. I've seen some of his work in some magazines and it's real fancy stuff. I don't think you'd see chopped hoops like this on his drums.

Nice drum by the way. Yours?

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!
