Slingerland 26" Bass Identification Last viewed: 2 hours ago

Hello, I'm new here!

I'm the owner of a Slingerland 26" bassdrum. I bought this secondhand (obviously) and I'm very pleased with it. However, there are a few downsides to its classic design. Namely:

- Its hard to change the heads for the kick since the 26" size is rare

- The kick has a strange hole for an additional tom. Its not at all like regular hole, it has a weird shape to it.

Now, I already ordered a 26" head that Remo fortunately still had lying around (even though they are out of production) so that should fix that issue. However, I'm using two concert-toms on a stand now, and while it sounds good and all, I'd like to add a third tom in the middle of my bassdrum for more range. So my question is, where can I find this type of tom-holder (I don't know what else to call it)?

If anyone can identify it for me and help me out, that would be greatly appreciated!

By the way: I'm Dutch so please excuse me if I used a couple of terms incorrectly or something. :)

Set-o-Matic is a Slingerland mount.

They are frequently on eBay.

I'd post a thread for one in the Wanted section here and at DFO also.

About the 26 inch head.... I see them listed as in stock at several dealers, I wouldn't worry much about them being unavailable when you need another. I've bought three myself in the past couple of months.
