I finally got a 60s jazz festival Ludwig snare to match my champagne 60s kit. I can't wait to put some new heads on this thing and get it tuned up. I'm starting to really appreciate this beauty! Heck, it was good enough for our man Ringo! Don't get me wrong, I love my Supras, Acro, and Black Beauty...but I think this drum has a very unique and old school sound that is timeless. On that note, I've been watching some old Ringo clips...guess it got me in the kind of mood. Great stuff though!

Didn't you just sell a rewrapped Blue OP Jazzfest? How is it that this is your first?

My first all original! I should have clarified. I never felt right with the rewrap so I ended up getting rid of that one! But these are some cool snares.

Ah. Gotcha. Yup, never felt right playing rewrapped. Did a few myself. Just felt ... wrong.
Let's see some pics. You may have persuaded me to add another snare to my list. I feel the same way about rewraps, and Ringo does indeed rule.
Congrats.
Steve
Here it is! A must have if you're a Ludwig nut!
