60's Slingerland WMP 22/13/16 Last viewed: 11 minutes ago

FS: Beautiful 60's Slingerland WMP kit

'65 stamp in the bass drum. Toms are pre-badge era.

14"x22", 9"x13", 16"x16"

The push-button FT bracket springs have lost a little bit of life, but I imagine you could stretch them out more to get them to work. The push-button brackets themselves are in excellent condition. Everything on the kit is great and era correct, aside from heads. Super clean hardware and shells. 60's logo head will be included.

$900 plus shipping.

Billy:

GREAT looking kit! I've got the same one from 1958. However, my floor tom isn't "era-correct." It's from the 60s and has a badge on it. I've been looking for the matching non-badged '58 WMP FT for what seems like forever.

Good luck with your sale!

Thanks Gary! It's a beauty for sure.

I'll keep an eye out for that matching 16" for you.

I saw a '59 16x16 go on feeBay a few weeks ago for $400 or $500. I watched it because I would love to have added it to my kit, so I can do the one up - two down thing.

And, Bharrington, that is a lovely kit! I'd be all over it if I didn't have mine. You shouldn't have too much trouble selling it.

SlingerLynn: I was tracking that one, too. I believe that it went for $430.00 or so. It's the exact piece that I need. Unfortunately, the bidding went somewhat beyond what my current budget allows.

Gary - have you searched craigslist a bit? I believe there was a late 50's WMP Slingerland 12"x22"/9"x13"/16"x16" kit floating around recently. Perhaps it would be worth your while to grab the whole kit or make an offer.

That sounds right. It was more than I wanted to spend on an "extra" although I would really like to have one eventually. Maybe I'll be able to do that a little down the road when I have acquired everything I need to complete my two kits as they are - and I am very close to having them complete. I'm spending $50-100 every week or two on correct parts and vintage cymbals, so I can't save for any larger purchases such as that. I'd have to sell something in order to raise substantial funds. Speaking of that, I'll be listing an old Ludwig key, a 70s Acro, and a 9 month old 17" K Custom Dark Crash soon if anyone's interested - I have to replenish my stash o' cash.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. The only way I would be in competition with you right now is if it was selling for under $200, and we know how unlikely that is. ;)

Have a great day!
