Hey gentlemen....I would like to share my appreciation for Mr. Purdie Shuffle. I have been relentlessly hunting down a single "small" vintage Ludwig snare lug. He took the time to dig this out for me along with mounting screws that are comparable, that are absolutely impossible to find in 7/8". He didn't ask, nor wanted payment...not even for shipping! A small part, yes........a big gesture to me. Thanks.Cool1

The things that are accessible on internet are amazing....

Is this our own?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

When shopping on Ebay.........being Canadian is more than a downfall, than my American friends realize.....I can't even purchase half of the items listed that are already somewhat rare, because many sellers do not ship to Canada...try finding vintage or new 7/8" long mounting screws....one seller has them and doesn't ship to Canada. I have been checking everyday for three months!!!!

Far as I know, a 'mount' is just a snare stand. I've seen guys add a tom mount to the side of a second snare drum so they can hang it off a cymbal stand or the hi-hat. Other than that, if someone says 'snare mount' to me, I'm thinking snare stand.

Months ago, I was searching for a vintage snare drum key holder. The task seemed impossible! John, through VDF, let me know that he had one and that he would be sending it for free, just because I needed it. He did this for a perfect stranger! I try to follow his example if I possibly can. The world needs more people like John! I am proud to be a member of the same forum.
