HI

NO LONGER LOOKING (edit)for a big, loud China cymbal. Brand and appearance not important as long as it is loud, structurally sound, and sounds like a China cymbal. I can get a new Wuhan 22" for less than $100 bucks, but I thought I would post the ad here first, to see what is out there.

Also looking for a big, loud, thinner crash cymbal that sounds like an explosion when hit hard. Same as above regarding particulars. One additional request is that it DOESN'T sound like a late 60's Zildjan A. I am over that sound already and want to make my setup sound more appropriate to the hair metal that I love.

I won't buy from anyone that can't publicly name three members that they have dealt with.

It's gonna sound like I'm pulling your leg, but the Sabian B8 Pro china is by FAR my favorite china from any manufacturer. For rock and pop, the 16 and 18. For more aggressiveness, the 20, and if you can find one or order one, the 22. These are excellent and very versatile chinas ... and they are cheap!

Sounded like good advice to me so I just ordered up the 18" variety at the price of 85 bucks, free shipping. At that price, it isn't worth waiting around to try to find a used one to save ten bucks......Falling Do It will be home waiting for me when I go home for a 4 day Easter break! Thanks for the input!

Hey Dan,

If you get it and don't like it, ship it out to me. I'll pay you in full for it. No gamble on your part. Glad to see ya adding on to your most awesome kit.

I did you one better, Mike. If the 18"er that is going to show up at your door later this week sounds bad, you can send it to me and I will make hi-hats out of them! And if it sounds really terrible, forward it to Ludwig Dude! (joke LD, don't have a cow.....LoLoLoLoLaughing H)

Of course, if it sounds good, keep it and enjoy!

No harm, no foul dude. :D

I didn't see the post earlier, but if I did, I would have offered you a fairly new 20" Wuhan china that sounds, well.....sounds like a trashy wuhan china. I don't use it much anymore (never really did actually. Just had it in my arsenal just to have one in case of china emergencies :p ) and to be honest, I think I've stated here before publicly, that I'm not a fan of china cymbals in general. Price would have been very reasonable too. If your 18" doesn't meet your expectations, maybe keep my 20" in mind?
