Hi Folks,
I need the advice of the Ludwig specialists.
Does this snare look legit ?
The ad says: "all original except hoops".
Could it be the late Pioneer model with B/O badge?
The position of the badge looks odd no,... ?!
Thanks for your input.

I haven't seen many B/O Pioneers, but they were still in the 1975 catalog. (Some reference material has them discontinued in '74 (Ludwig Book).

Thanks Dennis,
Hard to see in the picture but muffler seems to be missing too.
It's just the position of the badge that seems very weird to me,...
in the early b/o badge days,70 or so, ludwig was using up shells that were meant for keystone badges. this could be one of those. the date or serial number would help determine if its genuine.

All of my 60's Pioneers had a knob or baseball bat mufflers.
Here is a legit B/O Pioneer that is up on ebay now for reference..
All of my Pioneers beyond '60 have mufflers. The only Pioneers without mufflers are my WFL drums. To me, that drum looks fishy. Looks like someone put a B/O badge on an old WFL drum. As for a pic of inside. If it is raw mahogany its an older drum.
Thanks,
The muffler is missing but when you look closely, the holes are there,...
I contacted the seller,... let's wait.
