I'm on a quest to collect as many pioneers in different factory finishes as I can find. The prices are all over the place on these drums. I feel they are worth 150-200, however lately I've seen many sellers putting buy it now prices which are in jazz fest range. Yes it was a student drum BUT it is the exact same drum as the jazz fest minus 2 lugs ( which I feel give them a better open tone).

I have a gold sparkle '64 Pioneer and I wouldn't trade it for any Jazz Fest. I like the open sound better and I also like the feel better.

Selling my '68 in Bronze Mist. A great drum, but I don't play it. I'm in Australia, so I want $300. Hoping I will get it too.

Ditto to that brother...... just a bit above medium tuning for that warm fuzzy thing for me!
