Vintage 32" bass drum Last viewed: 52 minutes ago

Loading...

I just aquired this 32" bass drum from a auction of band instruments from our local school district. It's a ludwig with imperial lugs on it. I have never seen imperial lugs on a bass drum. I want to make a coffee table out of it.

I want to put Sgt Peppers logo on the head. Does anyone know where to get such a logo??

Have you given any thoughts to having it airbrushed? Also,I see you are loading up the garage with drums again.

I called my friend in the sign business today. I sent him a logo that I got off of google images but the resolution is way to small. If he enlarges it it gets very fuzzy. I posted on the local artists facebook and got a reply from a artist that will do it for $600. Thats a little more than I want to spend on this project..

I just talked to a buddy of mine that does airbrush and he said it shouldn't cost you more than $200. Good luck

Great idea, but I say get a beater with an extra long shaft and get to kickin' on that monster! ;)

On a serious note: What is that piece of hardware on the side of it? If I didn't know any better I'd say it looks like a tom mount. It looks real cool with those long Imperials on it. Nice find!

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!
