Wow those are awesome looking. They must sound great. The pearl looks brand new. Congrats!!

Thank you very much for the kind words! I was very fortunate that the wrap is still in great shape and hardly yellowed at all. There is only one ding in the wrap that actually punched through, but it's very small. All the other blemishes are very minor scuffs and scratches. I was able to "erase" some marks with a Magic Eraser.

I haven't gotten to really play them yet, as I am STILL waiting for snare drum parts. I really want to play the Super Gene Krupa with the kit on their maiden voyage. It wouldn't feel right with anything else. They sounded good when I tuned the new heads, though. I just can't wait to get them out and make them sing!

I'm no guru, just a vintage drum junkie!

Yepper.....

Very nice! I love the Ts and claws. I wish mine was a little younger so it would have been outfitted with those, but I do like the torpedos...just not quite as much. ;)

By the way, do you know where I can get a snare stand like the one in your picture? Thanks in advance.

I don't have a spare, and this one came with the outfit from the original owner.

They surface from time to time though, I'll keep an eye out for 'ya.

That's very kind of you and very much appreciated! I've been fortunate enough to find an AA pedal, Epic hihat stand, two 30s - 50s cymbal stands and a cymbal L-arm for the BD for very good prices/trades and all in very good condition. A snare stand in nice condition is all I lack in rounding out the kit with period correct hardware. Then, of course, I'll need to find 2 vintage Zildjian crashes and a ride and I'll have an all vintage outfit, except for the Roc N Soc throne which really helps my back. So, I'll probably forgo looking for a vintage throne unless I can find a nice vintage throne with a backrest like yours! Cool1

That throne was gifted to me by a very kind Forum member.... as I recall, he wouldn't even accept my attempt to pay shipping.

He referred to it as "A Looker, not a Sitter" !!

LoLoLoLo That's funny! The backrest appears to be, shall we say, "not original." ;) Did he customize it himself?

WOW!!! I didn't realize that was done back then. That would be great! Thank you very much! If I could get extremely lucky and find one of those, I could round out my kit with all period correct hardware! Cool1
