What a waste!.
sad Rogers kit for sale
1979 12 pc ludwig power factory
I think the late Buddy Miles used to own this one!His mind was going thru so many changes,ya know......
I forget the name of the Buddy Miles album where he's pictured with his kit painted red white and blue. Thought it was cool at the time (young kid) but now maybe not so much.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

talk about neon it looks electric
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp
once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Lets just be thankfull that this montrosity isnt one of the classic early 60s Rogers sets with the collets.
Thanks for the info guys. I think that even if this were a USA Rogers kit it would be a money pit. By the time all the parts have been tracked down (from the other side of the world) and the re-wrap it'd get pretty costly and still only be a players kit. Being an English Rogers makes it even less appealing from a restoration point of view.

In that case maybe I should ditch this one that I picked up this week. Kind of a shame cos it came with cases too.

Sorry, that made me sound a bit snobby (which would be rich from someone quite partial to MIJ kits as i am). If the kit was in similar condition to yours then it'd be a different story but it needs a lot of parts and a re-wrap which would cost plenty. And from what i can tell, it would be worth less than a USA kit.
I recently refurbished a Hayman BOP kit that was complete except for the front BD hoop and T's and claws. It cost me about $600 to replace those parts and new heads. The parts are scarce (although the t's and claws were found locally) and expensive. I managed to find an original 18" Hayman BD hoop which cost me around $50 from England - the shipping was $120
BTW, your kit looks sensational!
Fayray, I was just pulling your leg, but it didn't work. Someone else maybe will see what this is.
I'm waiting. Walking
