Tried the search engine and didn't see anything. This is for a round badge '60s drum.
Maybe I should try spelling it correctly before buying one.
Thanks.

Yep, that's the one. Expensive things aren't they? Too bad they no longer stock it. Good luck with your search as well.

Great! I hope you didn't have to pay through the nose.
Wish me luck. I just posted a question to the forum if I should re wrap a vintage floortom to match my set. If that would make it non attractive to folks to buy. What do you think?
Thanks
Rich

Hey Rich,
No, it wasn't that expensive. It turns out Gretsch still makes them, just like the old ones, so I'm fine with that. My problem is that some dumb **** put a DW strainer on it and drilled holes to accommodate it. Otherwise the drum is a classic '60s round badge with the orange sticker inside, drum key hole and Aqua Satin finish. I'm a player first, and collector second and the drum sounds really good. But if times get hard and I have to sell it, I'll have to let people know that it's been compromised.
I'm only a few months in to vintage drums, so more experienced vintage owners could probably give you the best advice on your tom. Personally, I would stick to a Gretsch drum from the same era, with the same dimensions and maybe rewrap that. I've got a '40s WFL snare that has the coating peeling off, and I'm considering if I should do anything to it or not. I guess some people care and others don't when it comes to rewrapping or refinishing.
I'll keep my eye out for your type of drum and let you know if I find anything.
Happy searching.
Steve
