Late '47 to '50 for the large oval according to this link: http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/drcjw/article_1_badges.html. Slingerland was notorious for not updating the pictures in their catalogs, thus the reason you see a cloud badge in the link provided by vintagemore2000. They still show cloud badges on snares in the '55 catalog, see http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/slingerland_catalog_pages.html.
