I'm a Novus believer, but I'll definitely try the Mother's suggestion. I can't believe they went under!

It IS so indeeed !!!! I would not steer ya wrong. . . . .
Oh I believe you on the Mothers polish, it was the comment mspartacus made about the company going under. If that's true I better go stock up on products. Thanks again for the tip JoeyB.
Sorry - can I ask to clarify - the company that makes Mother's Auto Products is going bankrupt? Where did this info come from?
It's the Harley dealer that went under, not Mother's!! LoLoLoLo
That's what I thought you meant!
Yes my mistake sorry about that!!! LoLoLoLo
zombie thread!!!
OK, back to the buffing with a dremel tool conversation. Does Dremel make a buffing attachment or have you guys adapted something.
ie, what is recommended for buffing purposes?
I noticed that Novus has a buffing kit available to attach to a drill...
thanks, Andrew
I wouldn't use a Dremel tool for polishing. And if you must, I would recommend the Mother's foam 'Powerball' attachment that you can use with a variable speed drill. Anything other than a foam attachment and a drill where you can control the speed, you risk cutting permanent 'swirls' into the finish that will not polish out.
John
Dremel does sell a buffing and polish kit I have one. It's great for small parts. I use it quite a bit when I polished aluminum engine parts to get in hard to reach places. I haven't used it for drum hardware parts tho....
