Every time I run across this movie on the tv I have to stop and watch it, no matter where I come in......love that movie, great vintage gear (except for Guy's later cymbals :p) Gotta love how he "upgraded" from Slingerland era Leedys to Ludwigs......and don't get me started on the Blue Spot scene or the "I am spartacus with Del Paxton" scene.....

Anyone else do the same? The Band

Todd Trent, who is now with Taye Drums designed all of the Ludwig kits for that movie. When his music store closed, he was selling memorabilia from that movie. I think drummerfish on here may have some too.

Here another side note on the movie. It was all film in my home town. Orange,ca..Hey BBK,Gary next time you go to Orange go around the cirlce down town down from that Christian church at the end of Glassel street... you will see where the movie was filmed..On the right O'hairs pub that was the night club,Pass that on the left side of the street the Applince store in the movie was my X-Girlfriends antique store.....Mikey

Cool story Mikey....don't know when I'll be going down there anytime soon. Just found out the Orange County Drum swap meet has been postponed until further notice.

Oh, Yeah!! I don't mind that beat being stuck in my head all day! ( it comes with a video too. I keep seeing the cartoon Beatles bobbing on stage.) Excited

I love that movie so much! I am the same way if it comes on tv I have to finish it even if I didn't start it!

Honestly! I know its just a movie and not even a true story but it chokes me up when they hear their song on the radio for the first time!

I am also a big Fountains of Wayne fan. The 2 main song writers in that band wrote quite a few of "The Wonders" songs for the movie.

Did you know Tom Hanks also wrote a good number of the standard sounding songs in the movie?
