I wonder if the C/L seller copied the photo of the drums for his/her ad?

A related story:

I had my Valje congas listed for sale a few years ago. Someone from the UK reponded to my C/L ad and said they would give me full price plus all shipping and handling. I don't recall all the details but it sounded too good to be true. He did not even want more details - the drums were listed for $10,000 - I thought that was suspicious. He further said they were for his young son. I traded a few emails back and forth and there was no way I was going to ship my drums off before I had the cash-in-hand. Needless to say the sale petered out.......it was definately an attempt to have me send my drums off before I received money. Kind of like the topic here but in the reverse.

I'm sure I've seen these drums on the Bay too.

Yes - good advice.

I was excited at first because it's a short trip - a few hours by boat - to view the drums. But as soon as I saw the UK email I had to laugh......

I sent another email - won't get into details here - to the seller just to taunt a little. Nothing back yet - probably won't be after that email.
