I have a app on my phone that tells me anytime there is adrum listed anywhere on craigslist. There was a garage sale with a drum kit. it sold for $40, CB700. I wouldnt give 20 for that lol.

I went to check and see if a magnet sticks to it, but them I remembered I dont think a magnet sticks to any supra does it? Arent they made of Ludalloy? if not COB?

Hey Poppy. You are correct, most supras are ludalloy. The COB versions will be much heavier by comparison and have no pitting in the chrome on the shell. I've heard of guys removing a lug and scratching a bit of the chrome off at a hole to see if there's brass underneath... Not for the faint of heart though. I'd be hesitant to do it to one of my drums. I'd say see if you can compare the weight next to a known ludalloy example.

I had my left knee replaced dec 5th, so Im still not getting around as good as I want. Tomorrow I am planning on cleaning out my garaqge and drum room to have a place to put these. I hope can get that done. When I get them in the house I will take some better pics.

I have been remodeling the kitchen. Total remodel in the kitchen but its all done.

Then I had my knee replaced. I wasnt looking for these drums, but when they pop up in your town on CL you just gotta check em out, report to the forum, and let everyone convince you to buy it! I showed the cl ad the day It came online to the forum. Then I went and looked at them and bargained with him. He was asking $1000. I told him the extra floor tom was worthless and the extra bass drum was completly different. I started at 500. No! ok he came back at 900 and wouldnt budge on it. I said Id have to think about it. BUt i was gonna get em no matter what. He was contacted by someone far away agreeing to pay his asking price and pay the shipping. Ok I was willing to pay the 900 then. I told him " You dont want to go to all the trouble of boxing all that stuff and dragging it down to ups". Apparently the other buyer told him to just drop them off at UPS store and he would pay them. So i had to pay full price. Lesson learned, dont show good deals on the forum unless you dont want to buy it. I am guessing one of us forum members contacted him. Oh well I now posses one of the most sought after drum kits on the planet.
