EDIT**vinnie took time out his day and mine to e-mail me 3 times AND called me once, giving me a few different stories asking me to take down the name of the person he bought the kit from, which i listed in this post. claiming it was his private info. its not a big deal to me and i'm not mad that he got them, so i'll be a pal and take it off. he said that she said 15 people contacted her about the kit. if her name and number was in the craigslist ad and she asked me or someone else take down her name that would be different. however all of us put out a certain amount of personal info online to buy or sell stuff wether its a local ad, ebay or whatever. that just comes with the territory. it is not his personal info.and since vinnie called me, 3 guys have contacted me asking about vinnie and the kit. i don't know if they were also trying to buy the kit at the time or just wanna know what he got it for (one guy said he knew) but seems there was ALOT more interest in the kit than the lady let on.here's one of the ad's. the other one is already gone:http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/msg/2776548921.html

I feel that if you post something on a public forum, then you have no right to demand privacy concern whatever issue you post on. I too saw the ad, and contacted the seller.

She told me she had an offer of $700.00. I don't know what they actually sold for but that is what she told me the day before she deleted her Craigslist ad.

You know I once bought a 70's black beauty for $200.00. I was happy. Others were happy for me. Others were upset that they didn't get it. That's just life. So what if he paid $700.00. If he's happy with them that's what matters.

I posted a set I bought with legit American Dollars to a person who was selling a set this person inherited. I drove 1 hour to get there and I didn't make an offer but I paid the price this person was asking for. Now I have two people exposing her email address, asking and commenting how much I paid for, making comments about this or that on a set that besides not being in the market anymore these persons feel the right to keep exposing details about prices and personal info (yes, a person's email address it is personal info) like I commited some kind of sin or wrong on buying an item that was for sale on public service. I dont know if it is because Im not American that I just cant see myself asking how much someone paid for a certain thing or how much a person earns a year, What kind of religion you practice or sensible information like that. Even when you post on a communnity forum like this you are not supposed to be exposed like some kind of thieve or wrongdoer because you bought a desirable set. As a matter of fact I didnt email three times to Drummerfish, I dont even have his email address and If I had it in the past I have no interest on contacting him via email. I just called him to let him know how bizarre his behaviour seemed to me. I didnt told him stories, just politely asked him to take down the seller's name, Thats it. Now we have a second person exposing the seller full name and email address, Suggesting how much the set sold for and declarating what you rights are when you post on a public forum...

Correct me if Im wrong but arent these the same persons who tried to buy the set? Hum! Thats funny! why the rest of the people only have praise for the set and congratulate me for my find and only these two keep trying to make my procedure to seem somehow "shady"?.

Well, I honestly fell that I try to be a humble and friendly person here at the VDF. I feel slightly pushed because of a situation I didnt asked for. Thats at least my position. If I made any wrong I certainly apologize for it to all of you but I feel like theres something wrong with these members having this kind of behaviour. Maybe Im still learning how things are made here in America. Anyway, at least Im grateful for the lesson...Thanks, guys.

SWEET!!! I had a similar kit that got away from me and I have been looking for another ever since. Back then I just had to have a Recording Custom kit just like Steve Gadd's and sold the Ludwigs. The Yammy's were great drums but those Ludwigs were just like thunder. Another kit like that is always number one on my list of "must find". I'm so jealous I can't see straight. Great find. Sorry for all of the "other stuff" between people, hope you work it out.

I will correct you. You are wrong. Anything a poster puts into public domain is just that, public domain. The poster has given up any claim to privacy on that issue. That is a standard court ruling. I put up the info to further inform readers of the post that may or may not be curious. I am always curious, that is why I first emailed Sally Soto in regards to her set. I am not in the market for a set as I already have one but like to stay current on prices. So what is the big deal?

It is a big deal because besides you, nobody here seems interested on the previous owner of the set, the price that I paid for the drums or your uninterested detective work...Acts speek louder than words...
