That's an uncataloged drum then.... seller claims it is all original.... the badge looks tampered and the Zoomy badly ****-eyed to me.

Plus IMHO, why are the 3 lines chrome colored and the body is "brass".

The base metal should be what it is......right?

Couple of items:

This is a 10 lug drum - I thought that the pre-drilled shells

last year were all 8 lug.

The inside of the shell appears to be plated so I'm guessing that Purdy

is correct that the chrome was stripped from what started life as a

10 lug Krupa shell.

The badge grommet looks wrong - I think that the Slingerland grommets

were aluminum and had a wider outside lip. The badge itself appears to

be pre-1970

The '60s Krupa that I have has a center-threaded tone control knob and

flat reinforcement plates inside behind the lugs. This has a Ludwig-looking

tone control knob and cup washers behind the lugs.

The strainer looks to be a later Zoomatic; I'm not sure why it's several

degrees off center. The snare butt is the correct version for the metal

strap snare wires.

This seems pretty pricey for what it is.

As usual, I may be partially or totally wrong.

Plus One in Fungusville! Also the snare wires have made in Japan on them(you have to look really close). It has been buffed out, you can see how blotchy it is when they were working around the badge. I think the strainer is slanted because the shell is a little mashed in there like most all of these drums. Think this is one of those "Parts is Parts" drums & it sure isn't worth $600!

edit: They've also listed it as 5.5" deep, the SK's were 5".

Grommet is wrong,and if you look close,it looks like there is chrome inside the lines.
