Just joined this wonderful site and wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Damon and I'm a 52 year old drummer with a set of 1964 Ludwig Super Classics in WMP (yellowed). 13/16/22/ are the sizes with an Acrolite snare from the 70's. I added a second 16" floor tom years ago so I could have my beloved "one up two down" setup. I hope to post some photos soon. Thank you for your time and have a Happy New Year everyone! BTW, New Years day is my birthday.. lol. Maybe my wife got me that old K Zildjian splash I've had my eye on. ;)

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

I'm still exploring the site and I'm just amazed at all the rare and beautiful vintage gear you all have collected. I feel kind of puny with my one set. lol.

Finances won't allow me to buy anymore drums or equipment at this time but I sure am enjoying looking at yours.. Wow! What can I say but congrats to you all and hope you continue to buy, sell, and trade all of that remarkable vintage gear. Now I'll get back to the drum galleries if I can stop drooling for a moment. ;)

I just joined today also. I think I have a 1964 set too but am trying to get some info on my kit. The serial #'s are all 1010xx so as far as I can tell from my online investigating that would make them '64 vintage. There is no date stamp on the inside of the shells. They are in really good shape, I inherited them from a friend of the family. I am really a guitar player but have always wanted to drum. I have a stage in my man cave so I put all new heads on them today to jam out with for new years. Any info would be great, thanks. Looking forward to being a member of the forum!
