once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that the seperately mounted toms was a standard configuration, leading me to believe that this kit has been modified. Too bad, as a 24" BD from the Ohio days is rather hard to come by.

Wow,the aging on that wrap looks just like my 1967 kit.

I'll bet that kick is huge sounding'but finding a matching hoop might be little tough.

Great deal,as it looks like everything else is there, and the snare looks like a 6.5 ,sweetens the pot for sure IMO

yep factory also alot of the B&B kits came that way also Dave clark five kits the same way ... the early dogbone double tom mount with two toms was a bit lets say wiggly but two swivo mounts is a very secure way and with larger toms like that CL set almost a must the early double tom mount was a single hex bar..

Mike as you may or may not know I'm not a rogers guy, in fact this company gives me a headache, but with that said, on page #162 of the Rob Cook Rogers book isn't this Top Hat kit the same configuration as the CL kit I've posted only the twin tom arms is what I'm asking? sans the snare drum mount?

Yes the tophat config early was like this kit but the top hat set config was 14x20,and 2, 8x12's and a 16x16 with the extra knobby on the floor tom , but I have seen many kits with twin tom holders like this if it was any other kit it would have a cymbal knobby or a cymbal swivo mount lower on the bass drum on the right side it was a pretty common setup till probably around 1965... IMO

got to this link and look at the 14th picture down this was a DC5 setup in USA rogers the english DC5 setup was a bit different as you can see on the article a fun read

http://www.thedc5.com/drumarticle.html

here is a tophat set from 1965 but mine had the early double tom holder which some folks did not like
