No mystery here... some jamoke put together a snare drum and simply added a vintage Trixie badge because it looks cool. Now, it's being sold as a 'Trixon' when the only thing 'Trixon' about the drum, is the badge. Somebody's little custom project that got out of the cage and is now running amok in the world posing as a Trixon drum. Identity theft...BS. I can put one of those together for (+-) $250. shell, parts and all. Got an old Trixie badge?John
John!...
Well, not exactly. Trixon Drums USA as an actual drum company is back, but under NEW ownership and manufacturing. I'll supply the hyper-link to the NEW Trixon website's "About Us" page. It explains all. That said... the drum offered up on eBay is one of the NEW Trixon models, and the BIN is $185.00. ( don't even know how they can build, market, and sell at that price point ) Perhaps MIJ/MIT? Here's the link: http://www.trixondrumsusa.com/about-us Regardless, a far cry from the ORIGINAL Trixon/Vox of the 60's!
