Batterhead - what a great shot! It's an album cover!
I earned my living as a graphic artist in New York for 22 years. I know this photo means a lot to you, so I took a little time and touched it up for you. I think it looks much better. If you like it, download it onto your hard drive and save it.
Enjoy,

In fact... here's what the cover for your album would have looked like!

John!!! You're right! My keyboard is ruined! Thank God that Christmas will be here soon!
Brian
I'm not paying for any damaged keyboards...
I actually had trouble leaving some song titles out! They just kept coming... 'Why Do I Smell Like Spoiled Milk,' - 'I Saw You Checking Out My Mom' - 'Uncle Lou's Theme: Touched In A Bad Place!' etc. etc. etc.
John lol
Those were the daze! Thanks for jogging my memory and ruining my keyboard! Do you know when the remastered cd is being released? I'd really like one in my stocking!
thanks again!

John,
Have to say......I LIKE IT!
Of course, the back cover would rave about "Quite possibly the best drummer that ever beat the skins".
And bonus track, " Everyone Knew Her As Nancy"
That picture was taken in 1966 or '67 of me and our bassist (who became my closest lifetime friend) in front of his house in Flushing, Queens.
Tragically, Fred suddenly died in April 2005 from a massive heart attack, (I miss him every single day). He would have loved this!....lol
Nick
Nick, It hurt just to read about your loss... sounds like a good man is gone or his friends wouldn't miss him like you do.
It started out innocently enough. I only wanted to do a pro touch-up job on your treasured photo. But my leaning toward mischief got the better of me and I did the album cover. The photo was perfect for it.
I was born and raised on the upper-west-side of Manhattan, but I owned a house (and for five years a music store on Jamaica Ave.) in Ozone Park, Queens for 22 years - so I have a real soft spot in my heart for Queens. I used to drive over to Flushing for Korean food all the time. There was a place over there that made some kick-ass Kim Chi.
Nice to meet you Homeboy. Thank you for being so mature about my immaturity. lol
John
LOL.....a two-fer!
Hijacked AND killed a thread in one fell swoop!
I assure you that was NOT my intention.
John, I like the mischief, does not show immaturity, shows creativity!
As for playing with old/broken heads... Due to some careless handling something poked a hole in my snare batter. That black spot you see on my snare is a piece of electrical tape covering the hole. I recall it stayed that way for many months.
