Introductions forum

Hello! It has been sugested I introduce myself, since I have never posted to "the Community" yet.

I've been playing drums since 1964 after switching from clarinet, (cause drums are "cooler" for H.S.marching band). After graduation, I played professionally more than 25yrs. and taught lessons. I also worked @ ROGERS, Dayton, OH as QC tester & tuner of Dynasonic snare drums untill they relocated to Fullerton, CA.

After the family arrived, road gigs weren't good for child rearing, so I worked as a cargo handler & giged around locally.

I've got a 5pc 1974 Gretsch, marine pearl kit & a couple of import practice sets, one of which I need a tom holder for (by the way).

I have the bass drum rail for a Ray McKinley style tom holder, so maybe, if anyone who reads this Knows where I may find the tom holder clamp-on parts, (they don't need to be pretty) please let me know.

Well I was two years old when you started playing so I am not too old! I joined the formn to ask a question, thinking that would be the end of it. Thats why my name is not related to drums, I didnt even take time to think up a cool name. Since then I have gone from one drum set to seven drum sets and use this formn almost every day, kinda like reading the news paper, but all good news!

Welcome, you will like it here I promise.

Thank you,

Jeff C

Hi, I've been a member of this forum for a few years now under the name Ludzil. I tried posting a couple times but would not accept. I had to re register like a new member. Would a membership be deleted if not enough postings are made? Anyways, here I'am again. As from my name you have probably guessed I love and own vintage Ludwig drums and Zildjian cymbals. Been playing drums since about age 9 or 10 and been in many different bands over the years playing rock and roll. Nice to be a member again.
