Ride for gig tonight...whatcha think?

Loading...

Alright guys, blues/rock gig tonight. No mics. Volume will be kept to around medium...no loud bashing at this venue. Which ride cymbal to use from these two? Let's take a poll!

K Custom Dark 22 or K Con Medium ride 22?

Take your pick! Of course, either ride will work great (I'm aware of that), but let me know your thoughts...the Custom Dark is a new one, and I've only used the K Con on jazz gigs so far. Last time I used a set of old As on this gig, but mixing it up this time with newer stuff.

Hats will be good old New Beats or K Custom Darks, depending on my mood later today. Crashes will be probably Ks.

Good idea! We have a break in the middle, so I may try one on the first half and another for part two. In fact, I'll bring both hats too.

ummm, probably not. I don't have enough splashes and overly high pitched fusion toms in this case. LOL.

I did get to meet him once. Tremendous player of course and a lot to learn from him. I just have different tastes as far as gear than him. But that's okay, it would be boring if all of us were the same!

I'm thinking the Con will be "the one"
