Slingerland snare drum. What is it? Last viewed: 4 hours ago

Loading...

I have a steel 14" slingerland snare drum. From searching the old ads on the website it looks like the Gene Krupa Sound King, based on the general appearance and the snare strainer which looks exactly like the old picture. The serial number is 89751, which puts it pretty early if I have read the graph on the webpage right. Is it possible to work out what it is and how much it might be worth from that? It was my first ever snare. I bought it 15 years ago and have only just realised it might actually be worth something.

Thanks

Well pics are always good. If it was your first snare then maybe you should keep it instead even know it may be worth money.

Actually, you probably should hang on to it. Krupa COBs are very good snares but they just don't command the dollars. Play it and enjoy it.
