I was seriously considering grabbing these, John. They appear to be in extremely sound condition both functionally as well as cosmetically. I made contact with the current owner who was kind enough to answer all my inquiries. I was then informed by several individuals much wiser than me that Ludwig never catalogued a kit in those sizes and, because of that, this particular kit has no "collectible" value. I decided to pass.

The seller has a ton of gear. For some reason these have been listed for awhile, they appear to be sound.

I know shipping is no problem for him too, probably woudlnt' be to exorbitant to ship.

I would advise a Luddy lover to grab these drums if they look as good up close as they do in the pictures. One man's non-"collectible" is another man's terrific bargain priced (underpriced) vintage drum set. You may or may not remember that "catalog-correct" is something that I consider to be unimportant and bordering on obsessive compulsive. This affliction for others is all fine with me. While the "catalog-correct" people pay way too much for something that looks like a picture on page 26 of the 1966 Ludwig catalog, I will gladly pay a lot less for a 1966 drum set not appearing as configured in a catalog. Back in the 60's, some music store ordered the drums that sold best or an individual ordered the drums he or she wanted for the enjoyment of playing.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

I don't think shipping cost would be a deal-killer. $200 is what I paid for a 6 piece (16 & 18 ft's) , from FL.

Love the B/O badges.

i agree that 200$ would not be a deal killer , and i would still be in . but leaving the us going to canada shipping , broker fees and now are infamouse hst tax at 13% on top of all that = deal killer . BUMMER
