Yes, that's the case and I did buy two, however I've only posted a pic of the first one so far.

Got the same display case today.
I was suspicious because i bought here in Germany... But i double checked the measurements with the IKEA catalogue in the US, and they were the same.
I manages to get in the snares without problems, but they fit only very "tight". The door closes just about.
The only snare that doesn't fit at all is my 1920s SuperLudwig. i'm not able to close the door when it's inside the display.
Other than that, great stuff, looks great and gives me some more space in my other display....
might post pics soon!
Great case! Can't wait to see your photos of the case with snares all stacked inside...

hi all,I was in IKEA the other day looking for book shelves and I came across this glass/metal display case with a nice door that opens and even locks! It displays 7 snares very nicely with 5 enclosed in glass. It measures exactly 16" across so the drums fit perfectly with little wiggle room. Only $149. I don't work for IKEA and I'm not trying to promote one of their products. But this for the $$ is very nice! http://www.flickr.com/photos/50144458@N03/5860691083/Cheers!-kellyj
Very nice!

A nice glass case full of 1920's Black Beauties....hmmmm

Here's a pic of the new display, and a picture of the rest of the snare bunch...
Some space left, lets go shopping...

I was literally about to order some Lexan and hardware this morning to build myself a couple of display cases, but this dude is darn near perfect for snare drums. We'z go'n to IKEA tonite! Thanks, Kelly for the head's-up here on the forum!
Has anyone tried putting a pre-1968 Super Sensitive in one of these? I’m guessing the only way it could possibly work is if you place the snare in there diagonally (tuck the snare ends into the corners of the display case). Anyone try this?
I've been wanting to do this since I saw this thread last year. There is no Ikea near us so I had to wait until I was in the LA area. Got the cabinet yesterday, put it together today and I am really pleased. So, I now have 5 snares in the cabinet with the vintage foot pedals on the bottom shelf and 3 snares and my Ludwig bugle on top of the A/V cabinet. (My original Supra is safely away in its hard case.) I put a reduced copy of the related catalog page in the small plastic picture holder next to each drum...kind'a museum-like.
There was a question in this thread about getting the snares into the cabinet without removing the door. I had no problem once I found that if I put the right side of the snare in first with a lug behind the door edge the snare pivots in easily.
