Wtb:MIJ Stencil Tom < 12" Last viewed: 1 minute ago

I'm looking for a 60's to early 70's era Japanese Stencil tom tom in a size under 12" diameter, could be 8", 10", 11" or what have you. I just want it smaller than 12".

Condition is more or less unimportant as I plan to re-wrap and probably replace the hardware anyway, as long as it is intact and not warped or broken it will work for me,

I could be wrong, because surprising MIJ stuff shows up all the time, but to my knowledge there were no Japanese drums from this era smaller than 12" (aside from bongos.)

Hi, In the 60's their was no 8",10" toms made by any japanese Stencil maker..But in the 70's they did make them C.B.700 ,maxwin, ete all made by Pearl..I don't have any right now but this could change day to day with my stock. The only thing i have is a 8x8 O.C.D.P. made at the shop by me in about 1994-5 tom clear maple finish no parts on the shell 6 ply maple with 5 ply re-rings...Its 25.00 + shipping...Mikey

I thought I saw some 10's on Child kits during the early 1970's. It's a longshot I know. Appreciate the offer on your 8x8 but I'm really looking for the old Phillipine luan wood shells. I need them at least 30 years old so that the wood has had time to dry out. All the other drums on the kit are luan wood and I want to keep it all consistent. If you get one of those old CB700s or something from that era please let me know.

Hey Mikey!

I got your message, I've sent a PM and an email in reply. I am interested in the drums you spoke about. Please reply to my email or PM I'd love to see the photos and probably pick them up if they are what I need.
