Steve, that was my perception of your Ad. I seriously do understand your frustration with some buyers. I offered a super rare 1936 Radio king tom last year it didn't sale, The Insane offers I received where insulting to me. so I still own it and probably will till I'm Dust in the wind. Steve once again I do understand your frustration with some buyers and this economy! good luck on the sale!

My forum buddy and good friend VTM2000 started off our friendship with the sale

of his 40s Radio King snare.... one of several he does and has owned, and it becoming my first.

He turned down selling it to several prospects before me for various reasons.

So his tailor-made or maybe unconventional approach to that sale sure was a boon for me, and we also became very good friends in the process.

I guess what it means to me is one persons' opinion of what is right and proper regarding the sale of an item might seem improper to another, and many of the benefits or misfortunes of the outcome is unknown to us in the present.

This and a buck fifty might get you a Non-Fair-Trade cup of coffee.........:)

I don't know, I'm not seeing the problem. I'm guessing he just doesn't want the hoarders and dealers bothering him with cheap offers to "steal" them. Other than that, it looks like he's advertising what he has for sale. You can't try to read emotions or attitudes into what someone types, after all it's just black and white type right? I don't hear him screaming or swearing at me, so it reads fine to me... just my opinion, not trying to start a war here. Coffee Break2

I had revised the listing more than once to eliminate unwanted e-mails. I had rec'd offers of probably 20 cents on the dollar. One of which was from a dealer. See previous posts I made in regard to the situation. The listing will be down soon & be a thing of the past. I'll be glad..............

I see no problems with the way he is selling his drums NONE because they belong to him, not us not you me or whoever. I think it is ridiculous for us to read anything into his motives as we do not live in his house or walk in his shoes.... Steve sell em how and to whom you want and I wish you well, you have some gorgeous drums...

I count myself as one of Steve's friends, and just want to say a big "thank you" for how everyone appears to be embracing Steve's situation. One of the main reasons why I love this forum... and vintage drums!
