Is this the correct 68 Luddy tom mount? Last viewed: 1 minute ago

This tom mount came with the Mod Orange kit I just picked up. It's cracked, but welded solid in the back. I'm planning to use it, simply because it adds to the beat-down character of this set. Still, I'm wondering if the block lettering aluminum mount is correct for this kit (1968).

Thanks

jim

I would think yes, as it's before they introduced the revised 70s logo, and I don't believe they made them with the script... I'm a consolette guy though, so it's really just an educated guess.

If it's early 68,I would think so.......later....maybe not...

Ginger Baker used that one on a kit or two......cool!

I'm pretty positive that's original to the set. Even if the dates don't match up I'm sure Ludwig would have used it if it were left overr from an earlier period. My Psych red rock duo is dated Dec 12 1968 and it came with that same mount.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
