Good luck!
I know how that process can go sometimes... I'm still trying to get a price out of a guy who has a 66 Champagne Sparkle Club Date set, a 14x14 Ludwig Classic Blue Sparkle Floor tom, and a mid-to-late 60s MIJ set, all in minor fix-up, needing-a-good-cleaning shape (no major issues -- just covered with dust from being in the garage!). He originally approached me... but so far hasn't given me a price! And just 30 miles away!

What's it going to cost me to get proper lug and hoops? Nearly certain the bottom beds will need to be re-cut. no bottom heads since about 1972!

What state are you in?
I've got classic lugs, both large and small (for the 8x12) but most are what I consider "b" stock. In other words, scratches, pitting, etc. but for the most part shine up real good. I've probably got a 22" BD hoop, but the inlay won't match (and that could end up being "fun" to find).
I might have rims for the toms, but if so they would be "b" stock as well -- usable, but not necessarily pretty.
If you're interested, PM or email me. When I get home from work I'll see for sure what I have.

I thought they were classics. Not many mod orange drums with keystone badges and clear interiors.Don't touch the bearing edges, that will devalue the drums.Rims are about 10-20 bucks, lugs are about 4 bucks. The T's and claws are a little more, but the big expence will be the bass drum hoop with a mod orange inlay..I really don't think the interior of that bass drum came from Ludwig painted black..no way, that will have to be stripped.I don't know if you plan on keeping them or flipping them, but if it were me.I would hold on to them, for a couple of years at least and take my time replacing the missing hardware, and strip the interior of the bass drum.Looks like they come with a supra too which would be correct.Nice find..if you can get it for a good price.Hopefully the owner won't start doing research because in this case,a little knowledge will be dangerous.

Very roughly- what would a set of lug cost?

I would PM forum member Mikey777.he sells parts.and if you can post some pics of the drums.

That's great! I'm almost as happy for you as I would have been happy for me (if I had got them!)!
I'll PM you with a quote on some parts at least by tomorrow. But I don't have everything you need.
IF money is an issue, I would suggest finishing up one drum at a time. Regardless of what anyone tells you, most of what you need is always going to be available. The BD hoop with the correct inlay will be by far the hardest to find and most expensive, like's already been said.

I'll post pictures later. I'll need all of the lugs and floor tom brackets with legs. Hoops too. I've got extra cigarette burns and rash if anybody wants it!
