I know that the Sound King shell was always COB, but I thought I had seen that during the '70's they changed the hoops from COB to COS...somewhere in '72 or '73. If so, was that true for all Sound Kings and the infamous Super SK?
Thanks very much.

They switched from COB to COS across all of Slingerland. I think it occurred in 1970 or in that area
Someone correct me if I am wrong
Cool, thanks! Just want to make sure I replace the hoops on my SSK with the correct ones....assuming they are beyond cleaning/polishing!
My Sound King is late 60's, so COB is correct.
I have two stunning COS hoops that were off a later SK, 8-lug, but unfortunately do not fit my SSK....10-lug.CryBaby
Oh well!
