Help ID-ing these BD T-Rods, Please. Last viewed: 6 hours ago

Hi, everyone,

I'm back seeking for information from your informed minds. Need help identifying the Brand/Model of drums that the T-Rods pictured here belong with. The gold one, I'm pretty sure goes with that Black & Gold set Slingerland put out, but the others I can't be sure about. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first one in the first row looks like maybe Ludwig, and the fourth in the first row looks like a Rogers. And yes, the gold one is a Slingerland.

Does#4 have an "R"in the center of the handle? If so it's Rogers,if not it's one of the later clones. Some of those had a square in the middle.#5 is Pearl built stencils.

I agree with Rocketman. I've seen the second one before but I don't remember on what. The fifth pattern I've seen on bunches of MIJ drums from the 70's, maybe 60's also.

They all have that little square inside a round center, some with "R" some with "N" or "Z" depending on which way you look at it. Am I gonna get yelled at if I sell them on e-bay as Rogers???:(

on your T-rods. Iam going by photos in order #1 is a M.I.J. most likey Metric thread rod used on many M.I.J. sets from the 60's to mid 70's..#2 Mid 80's M.I.T. sets if i recall right you could fine these on "Rocks" sets ete..#3 is a Slingerland used on the G/B sets..#4 You say it does not have a"R" on the end but looks like a "N" that would be a North drum T-rod from the 70's..#5 is a M.I.J rod from the 60's used on Pearl made sets these are metric threads....Mikey

I have one with the 'N' and I always assumed it was from a North kit. I keep it because it makes a good substitute for a Fibes T-rod. The Fibes T-rod of course has an 'F' instead of an 'N'.
