Some Help with my Vintage Rogers

My pops gave me this set when I was 14. I am 32 now. I have been playing them as my practice kit at home since then. My dad obtained them from a friend in Lima Ohio in the mid 70's I believe. I'm trying to identify them, and maybe even sell them. The weird thing is they were labeled Tower, but that was crossed off and Holiday was written (on all three drums). My dad said it was like this when he bought them. 13" Tom, 16" floor tom, and 22" bass drum. Two of the leg mount hinges (hardware) on the floor tom are broken (stands up fine), but other than that the set is in good shape. Let me know what you guys think.

I do know they did stuff like that, as I had a kit the Rogers factory did the same thing to!!!!

Nice kit. Your kit is very late Dayton or early Fullerton era based on what I can see of the mounting hardware. During this time frame, Rogers used up old tags found when they moved to California. That would explain the low serial numbers and "Tower" markings that were crossed out to read Holiday. Hard to say on the value, but possibly around $1000 for the right buyer.

Nice kit,from the pic that BD looks pretty deep,I have 14 x 20 and it looks deep like that,the wrap is cool looking,possibly a nicely ginger aled champagne sparkle?You have 4 extra holes on the kick,should not affect the value if they are factory holes and you are just missing a mount.If those are all dayton drums the 22 and 13 are pretty uncommon for that era.I would love to have a dayton or cleveland kit in those sizes.

The hole pattern opposite the Swivo tom mount indicate that the missing doo dad is a Knobby cymbal mount. There is no center hole for a disappearing cymbal rod. So, the surface mount Knobby receiver that is used to hold an L arm is the logical doo dad that would beautifully complete the bass drum. They are always available from drum hoarders and on eBay.

Leg mount hinges? if you mean leg mount swivomatic receivers or parts of receivers to lock the spurs in to place, the also are always available from the usual sources.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

The 4 holes had a attachment on them which I think I still have in my garage. The bass drum is 16" deep. Nice big sound. Thanks for all the info so far.
